Pieced Work is a mix of etymology and interviews with writers & artists about the texture of their work.
Text means ‘the wording of anything written’, and comes from a root word that means ‘to weave’.
I’m interested in the connections between writing, making and storytelling.
Samples: interviews with writers & artists.
Story of my Threads: about a favourite piece of clothing or textile object.

  1. Was just researching writers’ retreats and your name popped up as an Aussie visitor to Muse. I’ve booked in to Chateau Ventenac with Pascale Petit for next year but may visit Muse another time. I wanted to say how much I appreciated your elegant and wonderful website. I read and relished every word. Many of your key words are among my favourites and the purple colour from snails I’ve used in a poem, fascinating.Thank you.
