Margate Bookie
A Literary Festival by the Sea
Keen to share his love of books and reading, Margate-raised writer Andreas Loizou created the Margate Bookie.
The Bookie happens in iconic venues around town including the Turner Contemporary and The Sands Hotel, and is all about encouraging people to read more and to get involved in writing at all levels, and across all genres. Pieced Work asked 10 writers appearing at the 2016 Bookie about their favourite words, and the reason behind their choices.
